Microsoft has announced the next lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles for January, with Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor among the latest games hitting the rapidly-swelling service.
We Happy Few is first in line though, joining Xbox Game Pass tomorrow, January 17, alongside the The LEGO Movie Video Game.
Bringing up the rear are Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Saints Row: The Third, which roll out on January 24. There's some pretty good games there, so with any luck you should find something that tickles your fancy.
Xbox Game Pass will receive some pretty major games next month, among which includes Crackdown 3. Microsoft will confirm additional titles at a later date, so stay tuned.
Microsoft has begun pre-purchase downloads for two upcoming titles on the Xbox One. Shadow of Mordor and Sleeping Dogs for Xbox One are both available for pre-download on the Xbox Store for $59.99.
Xbox One owners interested in the upcoming games need only head to the Xbox Store and select the “Pre-Purchase” option. Buyers will be charged immediately via an existing Microsoft account balance, credit card on file, or any other supported payment method.
According to a post on Xbox Wire, “The game will download, along with any updates issued before the release date, so the game is up-to-date and ready to play.” They continue, the accessibility of the games is timed with local launch availability. “Titles will be available after midnight local time on the release date in your corresponding country, though some countries with multiple time zones will align to one release time.”
Microsoft says that in the United States, these games will be released after midnight Pacific Time.
Pre-ordering Shadow of Mordor on the Xbox One digitally, gets the standard game, a Dark Ranger skin, and “Test of Power” Challenge Mode. They did not list any extras for Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, but the game comes standard with all of the previously released downloadable content.
